Material Peeling Off
Very pretty coat, but the shiny outer layer is "peeling" off on the wrist area.

Shiny coating wears off!
We got this winter coat for our 8 year old daughter about a month ago and the shiny coating on the jacket is peeling off around the sleeves where the hands come out (see pictures attached). If I knew it would do this I would not have purchased the coat and would have went with a different one. It was washed 2 times so far but only in cold water and I hung it to dry, I did not dry it in the dryer. For a $48 coat I expect better quality. This coat was not worth the money. Buyer beware.

Peeling coat
If I could give it zero stars I would my daughter has only had this coat for 2 months and it’s peeling all over. I should have read the reviews before I bought it

disappointed in quality
Very disappointed in this jacket. It’s definitely think and warm, for heavy winters. But in literally a month, the jacket started to deconstruct in the sleeves and everywhere else…I was hoping this would last until next winter but guess not! For the price…. I’m very disappointed. Carters do better!

Same issue as others
My granddaughter saw this coat in the store and absolutely loved it. They didn't have her size so I ordered it. At first, there were no issues at all. It is a very comfortable and warm coat. She was wearing it while walking to school every day and it kept her very cozy. However, like other reviews, after a few weeks of wearing, the coat started to flake and developed holes near the ends of the sleeves. It got so bad that she didn't want to wear it to school anymore, for fear of ridicule, wearing something that looks like it is disintegrating. This was also purchased at regular price, which was much more than the cost of similar sale coats at other stores. We usually are very happy with the quality of Carter's clothing. In fact, Carter's has been our go to place for clothes shopping for all of our 7 grandchildren. Unfortunately the poor quality of this coat will make us rethink our shopping destination in the future.

Coat
Literally flaking off, purchased only 2 months ago. The shiny layer is piling away. I bought two of these coats for my two daughters, in 4t and in 12, both are bad quality. They are upset that their jackets aren’t pretty anymore. & for $48 & $44 price tag I have to say that I’m upset over the quality as well.
