Organic and suatainable

"It’s not just about organic fabrics — sustainability in design is really the big idea behind it."

That’s why Little Planet takes it back to basics with quality fabrics and essential styles that are functional and comfortable. “Comfort leads to organic,” said Florencia Walton, vice president of design. All Little Planet cottons are 100% organically grown. She wanted the “super soft, super comfortable, best fabrics for baby.” And she only wanted a few — a capsule collection of quality fabrics, each one special and intentional.

“Our certified organic cotton gauze is soft and breathable for babies” (and we have a hunch that’s why our most-loved gauze styles keep selling out so fast!) For our keepsake-worthy pieces, like our signature cardiganandblanket, she chose a certified organic sweater knit cotton that’s oh-so soft. And at the core of the collection is our certified organic cotton rib, her go-to fabric for all the new baby essentials.

It’s not just about organic fabrics — sustainability in design is really the big idea behind it.

As a mom, Florencia values ease and functionality for both mom and baby, which explains why all the prints, sweater knits and signature gauze styles from Little Planet can be worn and washed again and again. But beyond the fabric, there’s another quality that blooms in every detail:sustainable design.

Little Planet wasn’t made to be trendy — it was made to be timeless. The innovative collection is curated with gender-neutral colors that go easily from one baby to the next, seasonless pieces that work any time of year, and heirloom-worthy styles to keep in the family for generations to come. From the foldover waistbands in our grow-with-me pants to the seamless 4-way stretch in our soft and plush newborn caps— details Florencia couldn’t find when shopping for her own newborn — every part of her design was intentional. “We focused on long-term wearability in every piece,” shared the designer, “as opposed to an outfit they might wear once for a picture.” The designs are intentionally camera-ready too. Little Planet’s soft palette considers what looks good in family pictures with “colors that sit in harmony with what we [parents] are wearing.”

Inspired by nature, Little Planet appreciates simplicity, and like all things in nature, it simply makes sense.
