Meet William Carter: The Bear Behind the Brand
William Carter has been part of our story since the very beginning—named after our founder and “on the job” for more than 165 years. He got his start at corporate headquarters, but now you’ll find him out in stores, making sure shopping is all about fun.
Here’s the twist: William doesn’t just sit still. One day he’s by the overalls, the next he’s tucked between stacks of pjs or hanging out near the new arrivals. And he loves working on the window displays at night while the store is closed—he’s certainly got an eye for style! His adventures change from store to store, and any kids who spot him get to join in.
The rules of “Find a Bear” are easy:
Spot William Carter hiding somewhere in your store. Look high and low—he’s very good at blending in.
Find a store associate and let them know where you spotted William and his hiding spot.
Collect your special prize, wear it with pride and get ready for another bear hunt the next time you’re in the store. Like we said, our bear associate is always moving around, getting into things and finding some seriously sneaky hiding spots.
