These are the only pants my 7 month old has worn since birth. He is a big baby - weighs 26 pounds - and had reflux. I bought these because they don’t have an elastic waist band that dig into his tummy. These do run a size too big, but just size down. I would not recommend these for tiny babies because the waist does stretch and will fall off, but if you have a baby with a big tummy or baby with tummy issues and want to avoid discomfort or pressure to the tummy, these are the best. We wash them often and they hold up great. They are so soft and breathable (still able to wear them in the texas heat)

There isn't any elastic holding these onto the waist. My baby crawled right out of them.

The pants were too big when I first bought them even though they were technically his numeric size and he fit in other items from carters with that same size at the time. They would be great the first 0.5 hour and then slowly you could see how they would start slip off as he was walking. I thought maybe I could give my kid some time to grow into them, so I tried them nearly 6 months later and they are still sliding off the child’s waist. Interesting that most other reviews indicate bad waist sizing as well. Glad it is working for the moms who say their kids have thicker thighs and waists. While Carter may want to cater to various size groups, there must be a way to differentiate the labeling and categorization so people know what to expect.
