Staple pieces to have in every boy's fall wardrobe should include comfortable and versatile short-sleeve shirts, long-sleeve shirts, jeans or pants, sweatshirts or hoodies, boys activewear and a few button-down shirts. Don’t forget to stock up on socks and underwear, as well as a few pairs of shoes and boots suitable for different activities. Stocking up your boy’s wardrobe with some solid basics will allow for quick and easy mixing and matching with bold patterns. Having some light jackets and tees for fun and easy layering is great for the transition from summer to fall weather—and great for going from air-conditioned classrooms to balmy recess yards. Accessories like hats, belts and fun crew socks allow him to add his own style to outfits, especially if he wears school uniforms. 

When Should Your Toddler Move Up to Kids Sizes?  

When your little boy starts outgrowing his current clothing sizes and the clothes become too tight or short for him, it may be time to move up to kids sizes. It’s not always easy to notice right away, so if he is uncomfortable or restricted in movement in his current size, it may be a sign that he is ready for the next size up. Regularly checking the fit of his clothes and adjusting as needed, helps ensure he is in the right size, especially with underwear, swimwear, pajamas, socks and shoes. Checking them every 4-6 months is an ideal time frame, or whenever they say that their shoes are too tight!
