Happiness Policy

Not happy with it? Return it. It’s easy! If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it with your original packing slip, and we will exchange the item or refund your full purchase price, less shipping and handling. For your convenience, we accept returns for items purchased online by mail and also at any Carter’s or OshKosh B’gosh retail or outlet store in the United States. Please note that Carter’s branded clothing may only be returned to Carter’s stores and, OshKosh B’gosh branded clothing may only be returned to OshKosh B’gosh stores.

Carter’s clothing and accessories purchased online
  • Using UPS Ground by attaching the pre-paid label included in your original order
  • By sending the package back on your own using UPS, USPS, or FedEx (we recommend you use tracking or delivery confirmation to make sure your package arrives)
  • In any company-owned US Carter’s store
  • You are responsible for cost of return. If you use our pre-paid label, $6 will be deducted from your return credit.
    OshKosh B’gosh clothing and accessories purchased online
  • Using UPS Ground by attaching the pre-paid label included in your original order
  • By sending the package back on your own using UPS, USPS, or FedEx (we recommend you use tracking or delivery confirmation to make sure your package arrives)
  • In any company-owned US OshKosh B’gosh store
  • You are responsible for cost of return. If you use our pre-paid label, $6 will be deducted from your return credit.

    Apparel Returns and Reorders by Mail (Online Orders Only)

    For the fastest return processing, use the return label supplied with your original packing documentation. Complete the form on the reverse side of your packing slip, and enclose it with your merchandise. Mail your shipment to:

    Note: we cannot process returns purchased from our retail stores by mail.

    Once we receive your shipment, we’ll issue a credit in your original form of payment, less adjustments for shipping and handling. By using the prepaid return label, $6 will be deducted from your refund.

    In-Store Returns or In-Store Exchanges

    When returning or exchanging items at a Carter’s or OshKosh B’gosh company-owned store, store policies apply. Eligible items (those not marked ‘Return by Mail only’) may be returned or exchanged at any company-owned Carter’s or OshKosh B’gosh retail or outlet store in the U.S. Make sure to take your packing slip or purchase receipt, and the credit card used for your original purchase. Please note that Carter’s brand clothing may only be returned to Carter’s stores, while OshKosh B’gosh brand clothing is only returnable to OshKosh B’gosh stores. Kindly note that furniture, décor, bedding, and gear can only be returned by mail.

    Returns or Exchanges With an Original Sales Receipt

    The original purchase price will be honored for any item returned or exchanged with an original sales receipt. Purchases made by credit card must be credited back to the original card.

    Returns or Exchanges Without an Original Sales Receipt or with an Original Sales Receipt paid with a merchandise credit ***EFFECTIVE 03/01/2015***

    For returns without a receipt, Carter’s has the ability to look up the original purchase transaction using your credit/debit card, Preferred Customer number or email address. If the transaction is located, it will be processed as a return with a receipt. For in-store returns or exchanges without a receipt, a merchandise credit in the amount of the current sales price of the merchandise will be issued. All credits will be offered in the form of a merchandise credit that can be used at Carter’s or OshKosh B’gosh retail or outlet stores. Valid (non-expired) photo identification is required for all returns and exchanges without an original sales receipt or with an original sales receipt paid with a merchandise credit. Valid forms of photo identification accepted are: U.S./Puerto Rican/Mexican Driver’s License or State-issued ID, U.S. Military-issued ID, Passport or Matricula Consular Card.

    Price Adjustments

    A one-time price adjustment for items bought online to the new online price (or in store to the new in store price) will be honored if you call us within 14 days of purchase. Please call us at 877-333-0117 (toll free) or 972-265-4218 from 7am-12am EST daily (except holidays) for assistance. You may also receive a price adjustment in Carter’s and OshKosh B’gosh company-owned stores within 14 days of purchase in-store or online.

    Defective Products

    Carter’s and OshKosh B’gosh are committed to quality products. Any product with a quality defect can be returned to a store (please bring the packing slip or printed receipt) for a full refund, or contact our Consumer Affairs department at 888-782-9548 Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm CST to make arrangements to return the item to us by mail.

    International Shipping Returns

    If you would like to return your international order by mail, please contact our Customer Service department at 762-232-1399. They will issue you a Return Authorization and give you further instructions. Your online purchase cannot be returned at any store location.

    We are not able to accept blind returns. You must contact our Customer Service department before mailing your returns.

    You will be responsible for all return shipping fees. We will not reimburse for original shipping, duties or taxes. Note that returns will be credited in the same currency and same at the same exchange rate you as your original order.
