Great shoes My son absolutely loves these shoes, light weight and the lights are fun to watch at night. July 7, 2014
Disappointed Bought these for my grandson. They were his first light up shoes. The lights on one of the shoes stopped working after 5 minutes. He was upset and disappointed but wore them the rest of the night. I hope I can exchange them for a pair that works even though they were worn. Other than the light issue - so far, the shoe fits and he likes them. May 26, 2014
Major design flaw These shoes would be perfect if it weren't for the toe material. The toes were torn to shreds after just a few days of regular wear (I've included a picture to show what I mean). Carters, please go back to the rubber material that you used to use instead of this felt-like material. May 22, 2014
Didn't survive even a month! I was greatly disappointed with the quality of these shoes. My son is 2 1/2. The toes on these shoes were completed scuffed up after the very first day of wearing them! Within 1 month the fabric on the toes were completely worn off, exposing white plastic, which then cracked. They looked as if he'd worn them for years, instead of only a few weeks. I understand boys are hard on shoes, but I thought athletic shoes would be able to stand up to daily wear and tear. May 19, 2014
loved these shoes but did not fit well. I ordered these tennis shoes online. I wanted them to fit my little one so bad He loved them too! But my son has wide feet and they didn't quite fit. May 18, 2014
Hard to put on My son is almost 4 yrs, but these shoes are really hard to put on. He's trying To get dressed by himself, but when it comes to these shoes, he has a Hard time gettiing them on, Mainly because putting them on requires both strength and pressing To get them on. Even if we help him, we have a Hard time Trying, and we have finally resorted To use a shoe horn.... May 12, 2014
Falling apart after a month My twins loved these shoes- LOVED them. They light up, they're comfortable, they're cute, they can put them on themselves. I thought they'd be great, until after 1 month both sets (the blue and the gray) were shredding at the toes. Now, my 2 year olds are boys, and one is rough and tumbling around kicking all the time, the other is much more reserved and less "athletic", so to speak. He's built much differently- needless to say, not identical a TOTALLY different child, so- it's a quality of shoe issue- not a child issue. I will not recommend or buy again. The problem is now there are gaping holes in the toes and one of my twins refuses to wear anything else..... <ahem- thanks Carter's.... Angry Mom here> I've included 2 pictures for visual aid. I haven't washed them yet, because what's the point? They need to be trashed anyway. Also, due to the laces being the way they are they easily slide on, but the reverse is also true- they come off sometimes mid-run, but that hasn't been frequent enough to be a reason for me to dislike the shoe as much as the quality issue. Terrible quality I love Carter's clothes, but lately the quality of the shoes is terrible. I bought these snickers and after two uses they already begun to break. Now they are all torn off. It's a pitty, because I really like Carter's thing, the design is very nice and I'm a loyal customer. April 26, 2014
